One of three aims of the foundation is to support individuals and families living with MND. It’s with great pleasure we can announce we are donating £150k over a 3 year period to the MNDA for grants to support those living with MND. As a foundation we recognise the MNDA have the experience and resources to process the grants on our behalf. The £150k will be used to support individuals and families in the following areas:
- Profiling beds and accessories
- Hoists and lifting equipment
- Mobility scooters
- Specialist chairs and seating
- Stair climbers and stairlifts
- Washer/dryer WCs
- Wheelchair ramps
- Arm supports
- Feeding aids
- Personal care
Larger conversions that these grants may also help fund include: - Wet rooms
- External ramps for ease of access
- Widening of doors to allow for wheelchair access
- Extensions/adaptations to provide downstairs sleeping facilities
- Extensions/adaptations to provide downstairs bathroom facilities
- Through floor lifts to enable people to access the upstairs of their property and therefore bedrooms and bathrooms
- Installation of patio doors/ramp to enable access to back gardens
