As many people have learned now that Marcus Stewart, ex Premiership Football Goal Scorer was sadly diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) over a year ago. Since then Marcus and his wife Louise have been working very hard to raise awareness of MND and raise much needed research funds for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation .
In support of this, Marcus’s uncle is organising a charity Cycle event where a small team of riders will be cycling to 7 of Marcus’s ex-football clubs in 7 days. They will be riding over 900km and climbing over 8,900 mtrs, and in true football tradition they will be split over two legs (rides). Leg 1 (4-7th Oct) being Sunderland to Ipswich Town visiting Huddersfield Town, along the way, and the other leg (26-28th Oct) a Bristol loop, starting at Bristol City and visiting Exeter City, Yeovil finishing at Bristol Rovers.
We are looking for a few more riders to join the group so if you up for a challenge, please come and join us. Riders can sign up for both legs (rides) or just as single leg, its entirely up to you. To sign up or find out more about the event, please contact Peter Tubb via email on ptubb@hotmail.co.uk
If you aren’t able to do the physical challenge but would like to contribute to the fund raising efforts we would be delighted if you can give a donation, no matter how large or small you can do so using the QR Code below.
Thank you for your support. #AttackMND
