Thanks to our incredible and generous supporters, the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation is having its 3rd research funding round.
The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation is committed to making a positive impact and contributing to advancing understanding and treatments for MND. Ideally our funds will support work that aims to be driven towards further development within the complementary UK MND funding and research ecosystem, with an ultimate goal of impacting people living with MND. Through this funding, we are looking to support translationally minded fundamental and clinical research. This can include, but is not limited to:
- Drug screening in relevant MND models
- Model development for drug screening purposes
- Therapeutic target identification or development
- Mechanistic understanding of pathways with strong therapeutic targeting implications
- Biomarker discovery and validation
- Use of clinical data to improve clinical trial design and execution or to yield therapeutic insights
This open call has £500k available and we anticipate being able to fund 2-3 multi-year projects in this round.
