On Friday, September 8, 130 Wesleyan colleagues and their friends will be completing an eighteen mile circular route around Birmingham’s sports arenas. They are aiming to raise in excess of £20000 for the Darby Rimmer MND foundation and they are well on the way to achieving this.
Twenty four teams of walkers will set off from the Wesleyan Head Office in Birmingham city centre visiting Villa Park, the Alexander Stadium, The Hawthorns, Edgbaston and St Andrews before returning to base. They will be joined former Liverpool and Coventry City goalkeeper Chris Kirkland, a regular supporter of the foundation.
The challenge will be made harder by the predicted hot weather and seven hundred bottles of water have been ordered to keep the walkers (and the marshals) hydrated.
If you would like to contribute to the fund raising efforts we would be delighted if you can give a donation, no matter how large or small you can do so using the QR Code below.
Thank you for your support. #AttackMND
